Michaelmas

Join us in celebrating Michaelmas, a cherished Waldorf tradition. As the harvest season draws to a close, and days grow shorter, our community gathers to find inner strength in the face of growing darkness. Michaelmas is more than a celebration; it's a reminder of our potential to overcome challenges and stand tall, joining the world through good deeds and kindness. Join us in weaving courage, creativity, and community into our school's tapestry.

Jack-O-Lantern Festival

Jack-O-Lantern Festival is a whimsical celebration of carved pumpkins, imaginative costumes, and embodying the spirit of creativity that we cultivate in classrooms. This event allows our entire community to come together, share stories, and revel in the wonders of the autumn season.

Lantern Walk

Lantern Walk is a non-denominational community celebration, honoring the moment of bringing light into the darkness. Children and families join together, carrying handmade lanterns of all varieties, and make a procession through the East Village, inviting our neighbors and friends to join in song as we sing together, “I go with my little lantern, with my little lantern I go. Above the stars are shining, we shine here below.”

Spiral Of Light

Our Spiral of Light tradition is a cherished event that symbolizes the return of light during the winter solstice. As students walk the spiral in quiet reverence, holding a candle, they contemplate the inner light within themselves. It is a deeply moving and meaningful experience that reminds us of our interconnectedness and the importance of fostering a supportive and compassionate environment. This event is an internal celebration that children experience with classmates and teachers.

Winter Fair

Winter Fair, with its twinkling lights and festive ambiance invites our community to embrace the warmth and joy of winter time. Bring in the season with games, artistic activities, student performances, local vendor market, bake sale, an international food table, and more! It is a time for families and friends to gather, explore handmade crafts, and revel in the spirit of giving, creating memories that last a lifetime.

From Maypole dances to vibrant flower crowns, this event celebrates renewal, growth, and the beauty of nature. It encourages our students to connect with the cycles of the Earth, fostering a deep appreciation for the environment.
